Process

Requirements Scope

Test Manager will receive test requirements from Customer Test Manager will confirm the Scope, Entry & Exit criteria, Reviews, and Report etc.

Review Test requirements

Engineer will review Test requirements with Test Manager using test base review checklist

Raise clarification (If needed)

Prepare and Review Test Cases, Data and Environment

Tester will create Test Conditions and will group them into Test Cases

Tester will create Test Data

Tester may use review checklist for doing self-review

Tester will create Automation Scripts by including related Test Cases in Automation tool, i.e., Qatts

Tester will establish Traceability between the automation test scripts and requirements in automation tool

Do Intake Test Object

Tester will do Intake check with Test Manager for all pre-requisites required to execute the test are adequately verified before the test execution starts.

Execution of Testing

Tester will run Automated Scripts. This phase is executed as many times (multiple Test Executions) it is required.

Capture and Fix the Defect

Defects can be made available for causal analysis

Test Results & Reporting

Test Manager will produce reports

Test Manager manages Sign-off from Customer

Test Manager will maintain/update Traceability matrix (if needed) in automation tool.

Maintenance & Support

It includes software upgrades, repairs, and fixes of the software if it breaks

Monitoring the performance of the software is also included.
